Congrats on owning your land free and clear! What a security that is! Very very pleased for you. I would love to move next year and buy land with our equity, and own it right away. Fingers crossed we can find our dream place.

Tara, I listened and took notes on the pickled fruit. You pour the boiling liquid over the fruit. You put rings, lids and clips on. Then do you water bath can the jars? Or just the hot pack and then it’s ready for winter storage?

Can someone help me figure out how to listen to this offline? I used to be able to download them within my podcast app but that has disappeared. I haven't listen to last month yet because I just dont have that time at the desktop and won't do wifi for it. Thanks

Huge congratulations on paying of your mortgage, Tara! So wonderful to hear. Paying off debt has become my #1 financial priority as well. Hard to see right now because we're still establishing our homestead (and family), but by golly I'm determined to get there. 💚

Hi Tara :) not sure if it was this Q&A but was hoping for a link to the shilajit you use? Thanks

And when and where can I find the next opening to ask a question for a q&a? Long time listener but haven't participated before

Hi Tara, I'm interested in since your house was already built what kind of vapor barrier your house has on the walls? 😊

In Canada, the vapour barriers are all plastic. On the parts we renovated or built on, we used wool insulation. You can read more here: https://havelockwool.com/vapor-barrier-info/

If you use or have a plastic vapour barrier in an old house, it's a lot less "sealing" than in a new as old home breathe and are leaky. Another modification is always having windows open. Even in winter, I pop our windows open.
